Callaway is situated in the scenic Seven Valleys region of central Nebraska. It is approximately 60 miles northwest of Kearney and 70 miles northeast of North Platte. Callaway can also be found on the map just 35 miles north of I-80 from Cozad or about 20 miles southwest of Broken Bow.

Foster Smith Field where the Kite Flight is held can be found 4 miles southeast of Callaway along Highway 40. Signs will be visible to direct you to the event during Labor Day Weekend each year.
