    Labor Day Weekend:  Aug 31- Sept 1, 2013

Come, fly a kite in Callaway, Nebraska!

The Callaway (NE) Kite Flight is held on Saturday and Sunday (10am- 5pm) each Labor Day weekend. It is an amazing AKA-sanctioned event that has hosted guests from at least 21 nations and 29 states since the event began in 1991. Guests of the Callaway Kite Flight drive into the event site between rows of flags representing guests from:

29 States:

California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia,Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming

21 Nations:

Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, South Korea, The Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Vietnam

When you visit the Callaway Kite Flight, let us know if you are visiting from a different state or nation not listed above. We want to honor you by adding your flag.

Professional and amateur fliers decorate the skies over the breathtakingly beautiful Nebraska countryside. Children and adults enjoy the large and colorful kites flown by our professional kite fliers. Bring your own kite or buy one at one of the on-site vendors.

 

Admission is only $2 per person per day (ages 3 & under free). Buses from nearby nursing homes are admitted free. There is plenty of free parking.

Suggest bringing sunscreen and a chair or blanket to sit on. Please NO smoking, fires, barbeques, fireworks or any other fire hazard materials are allowed.  We hope you can join us this year, are you coming to the Callaway Kite Flight?
